Josie is a certified hypnotherapist and a gifted counselor who has been in practice for nearly twenty years. She received her initial training and certification at the Hypnotherapy Training Institute, studying under Randall Churchill, Marleen Mulder and Ormond McGill (the “father of American Hypnotherapy”). Since that time, she has also studied with world renowned psychotherapist and hypnotherapist, Winafred Lucas PhD.
Her advanced intuitive perception greatly reduces the time required to heal personal issues and relationship problems.

Josie provides a setting that is safe, comfortable and supportive. Josie is intuitively connected to each individual’s personal needs, aspirations and spiritual intention. Her empathy and warmth make her a natural counselor. Children feel very comfortable with Josie and make excellent hypnosis subjects.

Born in the Netherlands, Josie immigrated to the US with her parents when she was six years old. Her father, Joseph Jussen, worked for the Dutch underground during WWII and was captured by the SS. Sentenced to death. Joseph was sprung from prison in a daring maneuver by fellow members of the Dutch underground, narrowly escaping execution. Her mother was born on the Indonesian island of Java, where her parents met, and fell in love, during the Indonesian Revolution. Undoubtedly, her parent’s colorful background contributed to Josie’s open mind and adventurous spirit!

She lives with her husband in the mountains of the High Sierras, near Lake Tahoe.
